Frequently asked questions - landscaping

Do you use any sub-contractors?
Yes. Our landscaping team is small to keep overheads to a minimum so we supplement it with supervised and vetted sub-contractors from time to time for specialist tasks. Tree surgery and excavation are the two most frequently sub-contracted areas of work.

Are you tied to any landscaping product supplier?
No. We do not believe that it is beneficial to our clients for us to be affiliated to one supplier. This limits the range of product, material and colour available. We prefer to use the product that is right for each job rather than be limited to what one supplier can provide. We do, of course, have a range of suppliers that we prefer to use in most circumstances.

Do you offer a guarantee?
We do not offer an insurance backed guarantee. This is, at the end of the day, like any other insurance and the cost of the premium goes on to our overheads and your price. We would ask you speak to our clients and visit their gardens to see our standards if you are concerned by this.

Where do you get your plants/turf from?
Our plants usually come from wholesale trade nurseries and a few independent specialist growers, although we do occasionally purchase mail order. Our turf is top grade, freshly cut and weed free. We use either a hardwearing family turf or a quality ornamental grass. We do not use budget turf.
